We also have visiting specialists, including dermatologists, ophthalmologists, surgical specialists, and other specialists who come in regularly. We cover everything, from routine checkups to antivenom treatments or more specialised services such as radioactive iodine treatment for cats.
As a responsible pet care provider, we work closely with local councils to offer subsidy programmes for responsible pet ownership, including subsidised desexing and dentistry. We also partner with the Albury Animal Shelter for cats and dogs. To make life easier for our clients when their beloved pet needs our help, we have Afterpay, Zip Pay, and VetPay options to make pet care more affordable and accessible. Our team at Petfocus Vetcare comprises five skilled veterinarians and eight highly qualified vet nurses, with more talented professionals set to join us soon. Dr. Renee Pigdon, a border area-born-and-bred vet and owner and founder of the clinic, is the most highly qualified cat vet between Melbourne and Canberra. She leads a dedicated cat nurse team, incredibly knowledgeable in cat medicine and surgery. In 2019, Petfocus Vetcare was honoured to be awarded the Excellence in Innovation award at the Albury-Wodonga Business Awards for our state-of-the-art species-segregated clinic and hospital. This new facility was designed and owned by Dr. Renee Pigdon, who has been practicing veterinary medicine in the area for 27 years. Our Petfocus Cat Clinic and Hospital is the only one of its kind outside a major capital city and has achieved gold accreditation with the International Society of Feline Medicine.
We understand that pets don't keep regular business hours, so our veterinarians are available for consultation seven days a week and are always on call for emergencies.
